Just finished training
and my mind is spinning! Maybe I'm slow or stupid, but that was way too much, way too fast to try and comprehend it all! I am so scared of my first shifts and I haven't even scheduled them yet! My next step is taking the test, I'm not too worried about that, it's manuevering the system that scares me. At this point I can't even imagine being able to process the calls in the time they consider reasonable. Maybe if the person knew just exactly what hotel they wanted right off the bat, but what about those people who have a ton of questions and want to hear about all sorts of different hotels? I know that we are supposed to give them 3 choices, but what if they insist on more? What about those extra deals we are to mention to them? There is no script to read, do we just make something up? Heck I don't even know how to get in to do my practice, non-live calls.
It all seemed to go so fast and I was trying so hard to write notes and listen at the same time and that just made it worse. Oh please tell me this is easier than it seems right now ![]()

Re: Just finished training
RELAX woman
It does indeed get easier You're not slow nor stupid it's just that it is all new to you. The system is easy to work with and you can practice anytime by just logging into the s*les system and then when you are through with each pretend search just log it as a test call/training, for which there is an option in the list of reasons for no sale. If your customer seems kind of insistent after you give them 3 hotel options then you will need to nicely refer them to the website for them to search through. That happens frequently so don't worry just say something along the lines of 'Since you haven't made a decision yet on the hotel you want to stay in, than I suggest you check out our website'. It will be ok, just play around in the system and you'll get the hang of it quickly Best of luck on your test ![]()

Re: Just finished training
Omg I thought I was the only one totally outta wack lol. I was coming here to basically post all the same things you just did Scottiedog. I just sent the trainer an email asking for help, there is no way I could take a call right now, I got all the basics about working thru the system and finding the places. But step by step what to actually say to them and which ending scripts to read AHHH. The trainer was great, but we just watched her go thru it once, and it wasnt hands on like me actually doin it. I was wondering if there are materials anywhere showing the stepbystep process of taking a call. I was searching thru the wsol boards and didnt see anyone asking things like this, so I didnt post there cuz I didnt wanna look stupid! lol I'm not new to taking calls, I work 2 other callcenter jobs, but they had videos and call recordings and things to show u ur way thru a call start to finish. So those AIM names, I can IM any one of them anytime I need help during a call? Thats what they are there for? I got the list of tons of AIM names, but I thought they was just for general help. Its good to know its ok to IM them during a call.....well at least I'm not the only one lost, wonder if they would let me listen in on another training session.

Re: Just finished training
Robin. yes, you can definitely IM any of your WSOL contacts during a call. That is what they are there for.
Please, you are not going to look stupid for asking a question just because you have a question that needs answered and you haven't seen it asked before on either board. No question is stupid How's anyone supposed to learn anything at all in this life if they don't ask some questions along the way?

Re: Just finished training
Most of the time, if you have a question then a lot of other people have the same question! There is nothing at all wrong with asking away! Feel free to ask all you want to, but it is OK to post over there too.
Did you work that first shift yet?
