This was posted on Monster.com and another LO agent told me that she lives in Charlotte and a lot of people there work for GE at home. Legitimate job with benefits from home!!! Just thought I would pass it on!!!

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Great Work-From-Home Opportunity!!

* Answer inbound calls from stores and customers regarding all facets of their Credit Card Account.
* Resolve credit inquiries on new accounts and authorize sales on existing accounts.
* Demonstrated proficiency in multi-functional work processes and have knowledge of all departments and branches including; Collections, Risk/Authorizations, payment processing centers, etc.
* Make use of problem solving/decision making skills to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
* Maintain and improve customer/client relations.
* Utilizes PC, telephone, calculator.
* Continuous maintenance of customer profile via PC, as a result of written or verbal requests from customers.
* Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements:
* Proven history of strong interpersonal skills and two-way communication.
* Ability to work independently in a remote setting with limited supervision.
* Self-motivated with solid organizational, creative problem solving and time management skills.
* Strong level of technical aptitude including PC proficiency and able to troubleshoot minor PC issues.
* Adaptability to change behaviors based on constructive feedback delivered virtually.
* Accountability to monthly metrics/team goals on quality/productivity scores.
* Basic mathematical skills with use of calculator.
* Must be physically located in North Carolina, Kansas, Missouri and within 50 miles from the respective GE Consumer Finance office.
* Must be 18 years, or older.
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
* Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
* Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
* Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Specific hours and days will be varied (including weekends) to meet the needs of the business. Candidates need to be available for all team schedules; days and hours are subject to change. yes i did interview but i was thinking the call center was closer then 50 miles since oyu had to be with in that range it was 149 miles away but she said i did good on interview and to check back [periodically becuse they do have centers closer to me and she will keep app open for me , the reason you have to be so close is becuse first two weeks you have to go there for trainign then you get to work it at home and then once a month there is a meetign you have to go to

I live in Missouri and i have no idea where a GE consumer finance office is. Do you know if there's a list of locations or if you live in Missouri- would you know of locations here?

I'm close to St. Louis if that helps.

Well they must not be hiring in Missouri anymore. I go to thier search locations and Mo isn't listed in the list.

Bunch of other states listed though.

Does it state on the website if it's a work at home position? They're hiring cs reps for Dayton Ohio, which is about 50 miles away from me, but it doesn't state if it's work at home too.

I believe it is a work at home position. It was stated above that you needed to be close to a facility because you need to go there for training the first 2 weeks and then once a month for a meeting.

Does anyone know where the office in Missouri is? I am moving there in a few months and I would like to know if I will be close to the office for future employment.

Since they're hiring in kansas.. i'm thinking probably near KC. If you search the areas they're hiring for, Missouri isn't in the list.

I live in Missouri, within the 50 miles, so I am in the pool with them. They told me at the assessment they aren't currently hiring for WAH, they expect to be soon. We shall see if I get a call soon.
