This it the same thing as the old "pyramid" schemes back in the 80's when it was circulated in the mail! Remember those?

First of all: As was mentioned Oprah DOES NOT endorse this scheme! Poor Oprah gets alot of flack for things she just did not DO! lol

Second: It CAN hurt your PayPal account if Paypal investigates.

Third:Since it is a "pyramid" scheme, not everyone will do this and in the end breaks that monetary chain. So it doesn't really "pay" after all.

Fourth: Let's all be kind here. There are some people out there that don't know and are truly innocently ignorant of these type of programs. It seems like fast money and if you're "hurting" for money it would seem a "dream come true". I think EVERYONE has been there, so let's not be cruel without knowing all the facts. If the poster had posted with an arrogant or even condenscending attitude, we would have taken care of that, but they didn't. And if they ARE posting on other sites, she is "working" for the scheme, if the truth were to be told! 50 sites is ALOT OF POSTING even if it IS c&ping!

You are right. It's a scam and this an variations of it have been going around for decades. It's amazing that people keep falling for it. The only people who ever make any money from these scams are the companies that sell the mailing lists you send to. If you were lucky enough to get $5 or so and PayPal knew what you were doing, they would close your account for participating in a scam like this.

Actually, this young lady has been around for a short time and is an active poster on the forums (75 posts at this time). She's just looking to make ends meet and as was said above, may not be aware that this is a scam.

LOL, I fell for it several years back myself. I didn't actually send money, but that was purely because I did not have a way to do it at the time. I read about it being a scam later and thought I was lucky I was not able to send anything at the time

Hello, everyone, I am the poster of this thread. I decided to let everyone know, That It really was working for me, I started noticing 5$ here and there getting put in my account, a total of 25$, then it stopped. I have actually never heard of this type of thing before, and thought I would give it a try.
Everyone is correct here when they say this is a scam!! I didnt think it was, especially when I noticed some money getting deposited, but like I sayed, not very much at all! It was a waist of time thats for sure!
So I come here to my thread to let everyone know, if your gonna try it, it is a waist of time. It is a scam!

I got scammed by a company that said they would stuff envelopes for $ I paid them like 30 bucks or something stupid and they sent me a letter back saying i have to place ads in newspaper that say. "work at home please send 4 dollars and sase to xxxx" I was like omg. I still never fought to get my money back and the company is still doing it.

When you're in certain situations, you really want legitimate ways to make money. And you don't know unless you ask, or unless someone posts.

That's one of the reasons that I am always asking about something that I am about to get in, because I need to know what's going on with them, and if others have past experiences with them.

One of our news shows did a blurb about these sorts of scams. The one they featured was sending a dollar to ten people, along with the letter. Turns out, after investigating, all of the addresses ultimately made it to the same address, or person. (po box, street address, apt. number, etc) Somehow all of the listed addresses were eventually forwarded to one address.

i did that once in college. lol...tg it was ony $5. I felt like an arse.
