Many work for LO and have quite a bit of experience in areas of "expertise" for this line. If you would like to share some "hints and tips" this is the place to do it! (Please remember not to mention product names or client names)
I'll start, m'kay? ************************************************** ********** When it comes time to ask for the customers telephone number, there's LOTS of times that they will not provide it. Clients use the telephone number as a confirmation number quite often. Therefore use this verbiage when you ask for a telephone number... or something like it: "May I have your telephone number beginning with the area code for confirmation purposes, please?" I think I've only had 2 times in the past 2 months that someone DID NOT give me their phone number. ************************************************** ********* Karen |

Also if they ask about the 3 digit # for cc tell them its for there safety and the company does require it otherwise you can process there order without it. If not if you can take check tell them you can gladly take a check over the phone but if its a payment plan let them know they have to pay in full and sometimes paying with check offers different things so make sure of that to.
Also Lo requires that we at least make an attempt to read the upsell if the customer says no we can go to the next but never skip any upsells unless they say cancel or say they will hang up. Like Angelmom said alot of scripts require there # let them know it is required if its one of those or let them know its tehre confirmation #. If they ask you if there info will be sold tell them no. If tehres no box to check where it says customer doesnt want info shared or somethng that means the company doesnt if so they do and make sure to click that box. Also alot of people have ? about commit % and how its calculated Your commits are based on the last 50 commits you have worked everytime you work a commit one falls off. Make sure to take quizzes attend conference calls they help and if you need help with a script I review them and put in dummy info. You can put in Visa 4111-1111-1111-1111 ex 0506 3 # 123 and it will go past screen Last edited by Proudmomof2girls1boy : 03-03-2006 at 02:35 PM. |

I have found that when you are in the practice scripts, you can just hit next without entering the cc dummy number in, and it will still take you to the next screen. It saves some time :aquahart01:. |

If practice scripts do not let you proceed without entering info, you can change the url to allow it. If you change the url to say "validation=off;" you will not be required to enter information. You must enter a zip code on billing address in order to see affinities.

Hi everyone, great tips. I have 2 questions. How many minutes of TT do we have to have to keep up our LO certification - what is the minimum required? Also, how in the heck do I start a new thread on here? I really wanted to ask my first question by posting it as a new thread (by starting a new thread), but I have no idea how to do that
The only way I know how to ask a question is to post a reply to someone else's thread, which doesn't always have anything to do with the thread to begin with. I hope it was ok to post my question about LOps as a reply to this thread, if not I'm sorry about posting my question here and can somebody please give me the correct instructions on how to post my questions? Thanks, Janie |

Hi Janie,
There should be a new thread button to the top left. Click that to start a new thread. Hope that helps. To keep your LO certification you have to log in at least once every 60 days for 1 commit and take at least 1 call. I think that call has to be like 2 minutes but not so sure on that one. You cam always postbox your AF with any questions you may have. I know my AF is wonderful at getting back to me on a question very quickly. Good luck to you!!!!

Janie78,
I think you have to go back to the threads forum to post a new thread, here is the link if you are not sure what I'm talking about. The New Thread button is on the top left hand side http://www.workplacelikehome.com/forum/f23-liveops.html |

I have worked for W*st in the past and didn't really enjoy it because of the upsells, can someone tell me if there is any difference between working for them and LO. I could use the help before I give them my $30.00 for my background check.
Do ops take calls for a bunch of different products like they do for W*st or is it with only one or two? |
