CLC or Verafast?
Hey guys-
I just got hired by both companies. I was wondering, for those of you that have done both, which company do you think is better? I think I've seen this asked before, but I couldn't find it.

Re: CLC or Verafast?
CLC is hourly pay so that is nice.
Verafast is per contact if I remember right. CLC does NOT mask your phone number so you WILL get calls backs Verafast has an auto dialer so your number doesnt show |

Re: CLC or Verafast?
Also CLC requires( at least used to) you to have voice mail... so if you want to have other WAH jobs it might not be the best fit.. since the bigger companies say no additional features on the phone....

Re: CLC or Verafast?
I actually decided to try both and see if I like either. As far as having voicemail for CLC, Nancy set me up on evoice. You get assigned a new number for free and then my trainer/manager will just call that number and get the voicemail directly. Then, evoice sends you an e-mail saying that you have a voicemail and you just listen to it directly from your computer. I don't like the fact that your number shows but I have a second line that I'm using so I'll just turn the ringer off. I guess I'll let you guys know how it goes. I've heard positives and negatives about both companies.

Re: CLC or Verafast?
Another bad thing about your number being shown is getting incoming calls while working. Displaying your number is just wrong on many levels-IMHO.

Re: CLC or Verafast?
OK, so I just checked my other email, and I too got hired by verafast (If I want it) so I too now would like to know, if YOU had to choose, what would you do?????? Per hr or per call/unit/credits? Seems like I read someone posted that it's closer to 10 an hr with vera... when adding points...
I'm 3 days into training w/ clc... sooooo... really could use advice/opinions on this asap... I've got 5 days to get my info sent in for vera.... I've heard veras system is easier to use too... grrrrrr Any help for us??? |

Re: CLC or Verafast?
I never made over $3 per hour but I have heard that if you stick with it you can make more. I tried it for about 3-4 weeks. Oh btw I have extensive outbound experience and did not like it at all.

omg, see that's what I'm afraid of, w/ clc it is hourly... and it is easy...
I think I made the right choice in the beginning... it's not forever anyhow...just enough to get going on wah jobs, until another opportunity comes along.. Ya know, got some eggs in my basket, and a few on my plate, and not wanting to just take it and not try the others that come along... I know that only 1 week ago, I was at my whits end.. not knowing what to do, and somehow I was lead to a message board, then this one... and I've had 4 job offers, 3 hires and one will send work if/when/as they get it in... I'm very greatful for these sites. and for the ppl that take the time to help others along. |

Re: CLC or Verafast?
So, I have been doing CLC for 2 weeks. I really like it. It can definitely get boring, but you are making a min. per hour and you can also get bonuses. I read through the training material for Verafast, but I'm not sure I want to do it. It is more telemarketing than welcome calls, it looks like. The only reason I would want to do Verafast is because you get paid weekly.

Re: CLC or Verafast?
Alright, I just wanted to update everyone who's interested. I tried Verafast and hated it! I only worked for about an hour but had major system problems. Also, from reading the other WAH board, that is not uncommon. Apparently, the system goes down all the time. The training that they give you is not sufficient. I pick up things very quickly but felt totally flustered when I started. There was also virtually no call volume. I understand that it can fluctuate but this was ridiculous. I think I made about $1.50 in the hour that I worked.
Now, as for CLC. I love it! You get paid hourly, you make bonuses. I think the managers and trainers are very nice. Hitting the goals can be stressful but it is doable. I have already gotten assigned to a better paying campaign and I have only worked there 3 weeks. Also, they are raising the hourly rates so now your base pay will be between $8-12 plus bonuses. I hope this helps anyone who was on the fence about who to go with. Of course, these are just my opinions.

Re: CLC or Verafast?
Can't you block your number or is that considered a feature we can't have?

Re: CLC or Verafast?
I think you can use Vonage with CLC right....so having a dedicated line just for CLC could solve the unwanted incoming calls when working projects for other companies.

Re: CLC or Verafast?
I worked Verafast for a full month...I made about $3.50/hour....but I have a fulltime day job outside of the house and the 15 hour minimum was inconvenient for me...and daytime was the best time to call, I think...When you graduate out of the predictive dialer where they throw calls to you, I believe you download your records and call them directly in your own timeframe...I didnt get to that part though...because I got another job offer and didnt have time for verafast.
