Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
OK ... there's a few things I don't get if s/o could please be so kind as to explain:
1. Someone said they pay great? What is the pay? 2. Why would someone NOT be able to work @ home if they are incorporated? I don't get the advantages/disadvantage of being not being incorporated.

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
got an email reply, they will call tomorrow for a 30 min interview.
You can work when incorporated. Many of us are not incorporated, and at first we thought you did have to be incorporated to work for this company, like you do for willow. Don't know what the pay is, guess I'll know more tomorrow

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
I do think you HAVE to be incorporated. I am currently in the process for the Concierge position and the Brand Ambassador opportunity was mentioned in one of my interviews. He said that since I currently work from home I'm probably already incorporated (which I'm not!). I assumed that if I wanted to pick up more hours I could do so working as a Brand Amb but only if I was incorp.

About that incorporation thing, and something else...
It does ask on the resume submission form if you are willing to become incorporated to take part in the opportunity. So...do you put no, if you really have no intention of becoming incorporated? And if so, does that affect whether or not you'll be contracted?
Also, we have to have a dedicated line, according to the form. Renai

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
In my reply to the email they sent me, I told them I was not incorporated, and had no intention of becoming incorporated,so please do not contact me if I have to be incorporated. Then I said if you do not have to be incorporated, to please contact me, because I am interested.
They emailed me back with a time for an interview, so I took that to mean that I do not have to be incorporated. I can't speak for other people, I choose not to be incorporated because of the expense and the hassle of it. I only do this type of work as a part time gig, I have a full time teaching job. I guess if I ever went to doing this full time, I would consider incorporation.

Re: About that incorporation thing, and something else...
Please know you do not need to be incorporated at this time. At one point we thought about making it a requirement, but we have since changed our mind. And..... we are still accepting applications.... apply today for a Brand Ambassador position at www.vipdesk.com!

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
Ok now my other question is in regarding the $50 .. fee .. I'd hate to spend the fee only to get turned down. I have excellent credit like over 800, but it's the whole getting turned down. .. what to do with that? Is that required fee?

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
As I mentioned to you in a PM, credit is a big deal to our clients - our Brand Ambassadors handle their customers' credit cards and process transactions, and those with good credit provide an additional layer of security and reduce risk of fraud. Please note I am not implying that those with less than stellar credit are a risk - I am only relaying the requirements of our clients.
One reason we ask for the independent contractors to pay for the credit and background check is that nearly 50% of applicants do not meet the credit requirements. When you are talking thousands of agents this can become costly. It also provides an additional screening filter for us, as those who do not have good credit should not apply. If your credit is good, and you pass the client certification, in many cases we offer a bonus that exceeds the cost of the credit/background check. |

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
I just applied. This sounds like a great work at home job and not a wishy-washy one. Keep your fingers crossed.

Re: VIPdesk Connect - Lots of Opportunities!
I hope your credit is good, others have been turned down after sending in their $55 credit applications. Sounds like a roulette wheel, do I take a chance and send in the $55 with near perfect credit and hope that I am one of the Lucky?

I work at a bank and I handle hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash every single day. I have never been short. I am very accurate and very trustworthy. I was told by vip, that even with my bad credit(no- not, credit cards) astronomical medical bills and absolutely no one would help me!!! I unfortunately had to declare bankrupcy.Anyway, they told me it would be ok, and now you are saying that 50% don't get hired. Why would I have wasted 55$ if that is the case.Guess what,...my credit report has been back for a couple of days and I have not heard back from vip.....I think that experience is a better judge of a persons worth. Your clients have no idea what they are missing out on. I have awesome customer service skills. ![]()

I wonder if its more then credit like .. debt to income ratio .. meaning not the amount you currently owe but the amount you could potentially owe!! What do I do? I don't have the $50!! For a moment I thought to myself "well, I'd have to pay for gas for an inteview @ an outside job" but now though .. THAT'S NOT $50 worth!! Why does someone have to pay so much!!! I don't know what to do!! I want this job so bad, but am I going to get turned down and they are taking my $50? I've NEVER HEARD of credit check costing $50!! I can run my own TRIMERGE credit for less then that!! And I can run 3 singles for less then that!! I know ALL ABOUT debt and credit and so forth .. I used to lend credit and collect on bad debt.

Lisa, You aren't the only one. There are numerous others from the other board who have been turned down also. I have had around 10 PM's telling me that they were encouraged to send in the $55 and then were turned down. ![]() |

It seems like a great opportunity however, I really don't want to throw away $55 on a chance. I understand it costs to run a backgound/credit check but it does seem to be excessively high. Guess I'll cross that brige when I get to it. ![]() |

We are in the wrong business. You can make more money running credit checks.
